We are a group of researchers based at the Department of Aquaculture, St.
Albert’s College, Kochi, India. Our objectives are to develop and implement rational conservation strategies for the endemic and threatened biodiversity of the Western Ghats Hotspot; provide a forum for research and education in conservation related issues, and work closely with GO’s, NGO’s and local communities for developing holistic models relating to biodiversity conservation.
Over the last five years, our outstanding research expertise, collaborations with regional and overseas research & academic institutes and NGO’s, and consistent funding from national and international agencies has made us one of the most dynamic research and outreach centers for biodiversity conservation in the region. Very recently, we were selected as one of the top 10 educational institutes in the world working to conserve endangered species of flora and fauna.
